Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Crack On handles information when you use the Crack On website and iPhone app. It is written to be read.

Crack On is designed for self-employed tradespeople and small trade businesses who want a simple way to manage requests, jobs and invoices. The app is built to keep working information on your device and to keep data handling straightforward.

If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at pawkom2@gmail.com.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to:

If you use the app as part of your business, you are responsible for making sure you have a lawful basis to store and use your customers' information in your own business records.

2. The information used in the app

Crack On lets you enter and manage business and work-related information, including:

This information is used so the app can help you manage incoming requests, booked jobs, invoices, reminders and related workflow inside the app.

3. How Crack On stores your information

Crack On stores your app data locally on your device.

That means the customer, job, invoice and business information you enter into the app is intended to stay on your iPhone rather than being uploaded to a Crack On backend service.

The app also stores limited data in an Apple app group area used to support the Crack On widget, if widget features are active.

4. Voice capture, microphone and speech recognition

Crack On offers optional voice capture to help you record incoming requests more quickly.

If you use this feature, the app may ask for access to:

The microphone is used only to capture your spoken request. Speech recognition is used only to turn your spoken request into text for use inside the app.

According to the current app behaviour and permission copy, voice capture and transcription are handled on-device and are not uploaded by Crack On.

If you do not want to use voice capture, you do not need to grant microphone or speech recognition permission.

5. Widgets

Crack On includes a widget that can show upcoming job information on your Home Screen.

By default, the app is designed to keep widget content less sensitive. If you choose to enable more detailed widget content, job or customer information may become visible on your Home Screen to anyone who can view your device.

You are responsible for deciding whether to enable detailed widget visibility.

6. Notifications and reminders

Crack On may ask for permission to send notifications. These notifications are used to show reminders related to work you manage in the app, such as job reminders or invoice-related reminders.

If you do not want notifications, you can decline permission or turn them off in your device settings.

7. Website information

If you visit the Crack On website, limited technical information may be processed automatically by your browser or hosting provider, such as:

This is standard website operation and security information.

If you add analytics, cookies, or other tracking tools to the website later, this policy should be updated before those tools go live.

8. Tracking and advertising

Based on the current app behaviour reviewed for this policy, Crack On does not use in-app tracking for advertising and does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission.

Crack On is not designed to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

If that changes in future, this policy and the app's privacy disclosures will need to be updated.

9. Sharing with third parties

Based on the current app behaviour reviewed for this policy, Crack On does not operate a backend service that receives the customer, job, invoice or business data you enter into the app.

Crack On may still interact with Apple services and platform features that are necessary to run the app, including:

If you choose to open an address in Apple Maps or Google Maps from the app, the relevant mapping provider may receive destination information needed to show directions. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

If you start a trial or buy access through Apple's in-app purchase system, Apple processes that transaction under Apple's own policies. Crack On does not receive your full payment card details.

10. Legal basis and your responsibilities

If you use Crack On to store customer or job information as part of your business, you are responsible for making sure you use that information lawfully.

Depending on your business and where you operate, that may include making sure you have a valid reason to keep customer contact and job information, such as carrying out work a customer asked you to do or handling related invoicing and record-keeping.

11. Retention

Crack On keeps information on your device until you edit or remove it, delete it through the app, or remove the app and its data from your device.

The app also includes a "Delete All Data" option designed to clear locally stored app information from the device.

You should make your own decisions about how long to keep customer and invoice information based on your legal, tax and business record-keeping obligations.

12. Your choices and controls

You can control how Crack On uses certain features by:

If you no longer want data stored in Crack On on your device, you can remove it from the app or delete the app and its local data.

13. Children's privacy

Crack On is intended for adults using the app for trade or business purposes. It is not designed for children.

14. UK and EU privacy rights

If privacy laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply to you, you may have rights in relation to personal information, including the right to ask for access, correction or deletion in some circumstances.

Because Crack On is designed to keep app data on your device rather than in a Crack On backend account, many of these controls are handled directly by you inside the app.

If you contact us about privacy questions, we will do our best to help you understand what information Crack On handles and what controls are available.

15. Security

Crack On is designed to minimise unnecessary data sharing by keeping working data on your device.

No app can guarantee absolute security, so you should also help protect your information by:

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and publish the revised version here.
